Concert, Siegen, Lüdenscheid…

Hi there! I hope you are well. I had a nice week with working on the Beethoven Choral Phantasy and the Paukenmesse from Haydn. I was working on it during the week, not too much to sing and nice music. On Friday I headed towards Siegen, to rehearse next day with the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, it was really nice because the conductor was really friendly and the colleagues really nice too. I had the chance to sing again with some of them. It is nice for me to keep meeting another singers in concerts again and again. A sort of friendship is born.  We had the concert this evening in Lüdenscheid at the Kulturhaus. The concert went really well and Aki was there to support. I am glad she came because we will take 2 days off to travel a bit in this part of Germany.

I am currently organizing upcoming trips and the logistics are a bit complicated but fun. It was always planning on a budget more challenging but I am really looking forward to this trips. I am also preparing some new arias for auditions, arias I know or just do for fun but now really focusing on trying to put them in my voice and work on them stylistically.

Writing my morning pages, tip which I got from reading  “The Artist’s way”, has been really helpful, specially to put on paper my thoughts become clearer, specially the ones that are sort of cloudy on my brain, plus it helps me to kind of talk to myself in a different way that I would do with only thinking. I can not remember who said, “ you want to talk to someone patient, talk to paper”, I do so and it helps he he.

I keep reading daily and doing my exercise routine 4 times per week. I hope you are well and please take care. See you next week.
