Mexico, Germany, Farewell…

Hi there, I hope you are well. I came back this week from Mexico. This time there went really quick. I was busy with the concert and Masterclasses, that time just flew. I enjoyed very much my family and the few friends I was able to meet, and those I did not see I hope next time I can see them.

I am now slowly getting over the Jetlag. I am now focusing my energy on the text and music of Thérèse, as next week we start the last rehearsals after a big break since end of March, all has to come really quick together and in two weeks we will premiere it in Jena at the University in a nice Hof. It is more than ten years ago since I sang outside when I was doing Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), ah, no I almost forget, I did also like 2 years ago in Regensburg  open air and also with another production of The magic flute. The first time was without microphone but in Regensburg it was for over 3000 people and open air, so we used microphone.

Tomorrow I will travel to Jena and start another adventure. To sing Massenet is a very new experience for me and I really like how it is on my voice. I do like singing French repertoire and I really hope one day I can sing Werther and Manon even in a small setting like the one now in Jena. Those are good places to try something out.

I just got back to Germany but I already miss Mexico, I would have liked to stay a bit longer at least another two weeks just to spend more time with Family and travel a bit the country. Next time I will make sure I have more free time to enjoy my country, I also want to go back to Oaxaca and visit some other places.

I keep doing my 4 times a week exercise routine and my daily reading and my morning pages. I hope you are well and see you next week.
