Tito, Anatevka, World Cup...
This week I keep working on the recits and arias of Tito from "La clemenza di Tito" by Mozart. The more I work on the recits, the more ways I find how to interpret them. I am looking forward to work on them with the stage director when we start the stage rehearsals. I believe next week we will start musical rehearsals with the conductor. I believe the arias of Tito have a more narrow window in terms of approach to them charactere wise, but the recit could be played in different ways, a lot of it will be clear once Tito's character is defined in this production.
I keep doing my 4 days excercise routine per week, this week as tougher than others, cuase I think this weather changing into winter, wants me to stay longer in bed or under a cover but nevertheless I push myself to show up and just do it, be disciplined. Also, I keep reading philosophy and studying. Also kept working on my voice, working mainly on my middle upper register, on my "e" vowel specially because I tend sometimes to harden the vowel around "sol naturale" (G4), so I did some series of excercises that help me to loosen my toungue and also managing my support to improve its quality and beauty.
Yesterday Akiho had premier of Anatevka, I was not there but I was in the general rehearsal and it was really good. I am glad the theater did a good job on this musical. Akiho does great her role and very convincing.
Right now the Football World Cup is happening and I can say Mexico has been dissapointing this time. We still have one more match in the first round but it looks we will since many years not even pass the first round.
Take care and until next week.
